I offer 30, 45 or 60 minutes lessons. I’d recommend 30 minutes for younger children and complete beginners but again you can decide what feels best for you. Longer lessons can work well for older or more experienced students.

You’ll get more benefit from regular practise as it’ll increase your confidence and help you progress quicker. Ultimately it’s important to enjoy playing so do as much as you can that doesn’t feel stressful. Regular, short practice sessions are often much more helpful than one long session. We can work together to find a realistic approach that fits around your routine, with the focus on making piano an enjoyable part of your week rather than another source of pressure.

Not at all. Exams are completely optional. Some students like a structured learning whilst others prefer to play certain pieces just for enjoyment. Lessons will be shaped around what you’d like to get out of them.
